::New Link Added::

Arik pointed out that we were missing one incredibly important link for our "Important Wedding Links" side bar and that was Brown Eyed Photography!  I am not sure how that slipped under the radar.  Big apology to Sarah and Josh of Brown Eyed Photography.  They are awesome and amazingly talented.  Please do check them out!

:: Invitations::

You know that things are really happening when you start printing your invitations! Eek!  Over the last week or so we have printed the various pieces of our invites.  There were a few minor bumps in the road but all in all everything turned out fabulously!  We are traveling down to Massachusetts this weekend and having my (Michael's) family help essemble them.  They are going to look so great!  Big thanks in advance goes out to my family for the help!

::Rings Update::

Our rings came in about three weeks ago!  We were excited to see them since we had ordered them rather blindly.  You may recall that back in November when we looked at rings at Perrywinkle's we found a ring but decided not to order it because we were still looking around.  The next time we went in to look at again and possibly order it, it had been sold!  We still had the model number from the first visit so Lauren (our amazing sales rep) said she could get it from another store.  We were excited and anxiously awaited the arrival of the ring.  When we received the call that the ring had arrived we were thrilled and hurried in to see it.  When Lauren opened brought it over, it WASN'T the right ring!  Eek!  We were so disappointed but we didn't give up hope and Lauren suggested we look in the manufactures catalogues to see if we perhaps could point it out there.  We found a ring that looked the original one, and on a prayer ordered them.  We walked out hoping that they were the right ones.  Flash forward a few weeks ago when they arrived.  Once again we rushed in to see them.  When she opened the envelope,  the rings we ordered ended up not being the original ones we saw way back in November but we love them soo much!  We paid for them and then sent them out for engraving.  We decided to get our wedding date engraved inside.

::Our Wedding Attire::

Over the last couple of months we have been gathering our outfits for the wedding.  We decided to nix the original idea of wearing tuxedos do to the summer heat.  We instead opted for a cotton vests and pants from Express Men in dove gray.  We purchased our ties from an amazing website called The Tie Bar.  They are awesome and very inexpensive.  Definitely check them out.   We have picked up the other accessories in our travels as we found them.  Our shoes for the ceremony are going top secret but I can tell you they are amazing!  The only pieces we need to get now are French cuff shirts from Brooks Brothers and socks I believe.  Like with the wedding party we too will need minor alterations done, in particular hemming of our pants.  I have to say we are going to look very dapper.  Now we need to just loose a few pounds /inches to make the fit perfect.

::Wardrobe For The Wedding Party::

So it has been a rather long time since we have updated the blog, sorry about that.  The good news is that we have gone shopping with all member of our wedding party and fitted them all for their wedding attire.  At the end of February we traveled down to Massachusetts to go with my (Michael) sisters to get them fitted for grooms maid dresses.  While the staff that the David's in MA didn't hold a candle to those in VT, the visit was rather quick and relatively painless.  I have to give a shout out to my older sister, Erin who went to the fitting despite battling a nasty cold.  That same day we went with Chris the Man of Honor to get his suiting separates from Express fitted.  About a week after this successful trip to Massachusetts, our friend John came to Vermont and we went with him (and his mother) to Express to get fitted and find accessories.  Once again, things went swimmingly.  Now the only thing remaining will be minor alterations to the dresses and suit separates.  We both can't wait for all of you to see the entire wedding party dressed up and looking snazzy!  Can't believe the big day is less then five months away!  Eek!

(We thought we'd start kicking it old school with the photos)

::WEDDING PARTY::

Hello!

So we thought that we would take a moment to explain our wedding party set up!  So there are six total in our party.  We wanted to take the conventional, traditional rolls of Maid of Honor and Best Man and mix them up!  Hence we came up with Best Maid (Christine) and Man of Honor (Chris)!  We then have three Groom's Maids (Erin, Jennifer, Natalie) and one Groom's Man (John).  I hope this shed's a light light on the mixed up terms we are using for our party!

::GROOM'S MAID DRESSES::

Hello!

Yesterday we went to David's Bridal with half of the female component of our wedding party and selected a fabulous dress for the Groom's Maids (including the Best Maid)!  Big thanks to store manager Denise and our consultant Emma their excellent assistance!  We can't wait for everyone to see them on the BIG day!

::UPDATE::

Hello!

Just a little update to share with everyone.  The location where we are having our ceremony is changing it's name.  The Firehouse Gallery for The Visual Arts is now called the BCA Center (The Burlington City Arts Center).  We received an email a few weeks ago and wanted to update everyone if you happened to be Googling it!
